ISO 9001:2000 is an International Standard for Quality
To be certified to this Standard, a company must provide documented evidence showing they meet the Standard requirements. Our ISO 9001:2000 certification means we have to -
Say what we do. Do what we say. Prove that we do it.
Some of the things a company needs to do to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification are:
• Have an established policy on quality and a quality procedure manual.
• Have an officer designated for ensuring and maintaining quality standards.
• Have regular reviews of quality. Audits are done both in house and by an external independent body.
• Have policies on various other issues including and not limited to staff training and development etc.
• Maintain a list of approved suppliers.
• Have all written procedures stated simply, unambiguously and understandably.
• Show customer satisfaction is being attained by reviewing the documentation of the QMS.
What is ISO 9001:2000?
ISO 9001:2000 is an international quality system requiring documented evidence which follows the quality production of a product. It also provides for continuous improvement and refinement in the production process. In order to continue to carry ISO 9001:2000 certification, it is required that twice each year an independent, outside auditor carefully examine our production and documentation process.
Why is a printing company subjecting itself to this level of quality inspection?
At Robinson Printing, quality and customer satisfaction are our foremost objectives. We have several customers who are already certified to the ISO program for quality. It makes it easier for these customers to document and fulfill their ISO requirements if their vendors are certified as well. It offers "traceability" of the quality in their products (a paramount concept of the ISO program).
Our company is ISO certified and we are seeking a printer that takes quality as seriously as we do. Who can I talk to about our printing needs?
Robinson Printing would welcome a partnership with you in your quality process. We invite you to plan an on-site inspection. We are confident that the efficient workflow and cleanliness of our 24,000 square foot facility will be a testament to our commitment to quality. We have the capability of customizing many aspects of your printing requirements and we look forward to working with you to create the traceable, quality printing piece you need.
